We are excited to announce the DOHaD Canada Early Career Conference Keynote Call for Abstract. The keynote will be a part of the DOHaD conference 2025, and the Perinatal Child Health Research Conference held at the Sheraton Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada on May 12 and 13, 2025. This is an opportunity for emerging scientists to showcase their groundbreaking research in the field of Developmental Origins of Health and Disease (DOHaD). This call for abstract is designed to promote innovative ideas and facilitate networking among early career professionals.

Two opportunities:

1. ECR KEYNOTE SPEAKER CALL FOR ABSTRACT

Call for abstract for an ECR Keynote speaker in the area of Prenatal and/or intergenerational factors of development. The selected researcher will be invited to present a 45-minute talk as a keynote during the DOHaD conference on May 12^th, 2025.

• Eligibility: Early career researchers within five years of completing their PhD or post-doctoral fellow with at least three years of experience.
• Evaluation Criteria: Submissions will be evaluated based on the originality and significance of the research proposed.
• Deadline for Submission: January 10^th, 2025
• Submission Format :

• • An Abstract of 250-word summarizing your research and its implications and contributions to the field of DOHaD
  • A CIHR Biosketch CCV

2.  ECR SYMPOSIUM CALL FOR ABSTRACT

Call for one Symposium in the area of DOHaD. The symposium will be presented at the DOHaD conference 2025 on May 12^th. The symposium should include no more than 3 to 4 speakers. The total length of the symposium will be 45 minutes (including a 5-minute discussion period). Moderators will be selected by the conference co-chairs.

• Eligibility: At least one speaker should be an ECR. Early career researchers within five years of completing their PhD or post-doctoral fellow with at least three years of experience.
• Deadline for Submission: January 10th, 2025
• Submission Format:

• • A general (overview) abstract of 250-word summary of the research covered and its implications and contributions to the field of DOHaD.
  • In addition, one abstract per speaker should be presented (max. 250 words).

• Submission Instructions:

• • Please submit your documents in a PDF format to the following email address: office@dohad.ca
  • Please entitle your email with “DOHaD Canada Conference – Early Career Keynote Call for Abstract Submission.”
